The House of Glass was founded in 1974 by Jack Steck who saw a need in his community for windows, doors, and other similar products. Jack successfully ran the company for many years, focusing on doing whatever it took to take care of his customers.

In 1997 the company underwent a paradigm shift when Jack’s sons, Kerry and Loren, bought the business from their father so that Jack could enjoy retirement. The two brothers ran the company together for 23 years until Kerry was ready to retire in 2020 at which point Loren became the sole owner of the House of Glass.

What originally began as a simple operation operated out of a shed next to Jack’s home has evolved multiple times over our nearly 50 years of business. We have become the largest supplier and installer of glass and fenestration products in Central Utah. But don’t get us wrong: we are still small-town folks focused on serving the communities that we live in and love. Still family owned and operated.
